The EU AI Act requires organizations deploying high-risk AI systems to implement risk management (Article 9), data governance (Article 10), technical documentation (Article 11), record-keeping (Article 12), transparency (Article 13), human oversight (Article 14), and accuracy/robustness (Article 15). For GPAI models, additional transparency obligations apply under Articles 50-55. AI VPN provides the technical infrastructure to meet these requirements.

PII screening detects and optionally redacts personally identifiable information before it reaches an LLM provider. AI VPN scans for 12 types of PII including emails, phone numbers, credit card numbers (Luhn-validated), SSNs, IP addresses, API keys, and street addresses. This prevents sensitive data from being sent to third-party LLM providers.
Prompt injection detection identifies attempts to manipulate LLM behavior through malicious prompts. AI VPN detects four categories: system prompt extraction ("ignore previous instructions"), role-playing/jailbreak attacks ("DAN mode"), delimiter confusion, and token smuggling (base64/hex encoded instructions). Each request is scored 0.0-1.0 and blocked or flagged based on configurable thresholds.
A tamper-evident audit trail cryptographically signs every request/response pair using Ed25519 and links entries in a hash chain. Any modification to a past entry breaks the chain, making tampering immediately detectable. This provides regulator-ready evidence of AI system usage for EU AI Act compliance.
